Biography

Monica is proud to have developed a busy civil practice assisting solicitors and clients with advisory and drafting services on a variety of matters. Monica has worked in both a self-employed Barrister capacity and owned/managed legal practices since 2015, meaning that she has precisely the understanding clients need of how each step can feel like a mountain, without adequate support.

Landlord and Tenant

Monica has worked across a variety of landlord and tenant claims for both the landlords and tenants. Within this, Monica has experience of dealing with repossession claims, housing disrepair, tenancy deposit, dilapidations, breaches of rental agreement and more. Monica has previously helped clients by offering initial advice, drafting court documents and entering negotiations between the landlord and tenant to facilitate resolution of the matters. 

Neighbour Disputes

Monica has one of her busiest areas of private practice in neighbour disputes. This can be anything from access issues of outbuildings to boundary disputes and a variety more. Clients praise Monica in this area for her straight-forward, practical advice to guide clients through a tricky, awkward and often bitter situation.  In helping clients, Monica has offered advice, drafted court documents, held conferences with clients and experts and reviewed evidence to provide an objective view of the matter.

Property, Construction and Building Dispute

Monica has a vast experience in property, construction and building disputes. Whether this be possession for property claims, negligent construction or negligent or non-commissioned building work, Monica can assist with advice, court documents or conferences. Monica has experience in not solely bringing these claims against individuals but large-scale property developers in group actions and is not fazed by the size of the Defendant.
